What the hell is this place, anyway?

So I'm still trying to figure out what this journal is going to be for...I'm finding some friends here on LJ (hopefully) so as this journal evolves, hopefully I will get some feedback.  I intend for this to be a place for me to freely discuss my thoughts--things as different as books, philosophy, sex, World of Warcraft, etc.  Some of these posts will be public.  Some will be friends only.  Note that explicit content is likely...so if you want to be added, be forewarned.  Let me know if there is anything you don't want to see.  I'll filter you out of the stuff you'd rather not know about.

Book Goal! and Turkey Day

So yes.  I am starting a bit early on the resolutions thingie, considering that it's only Turkey Day,  but whatever.  I am getting a head start!  So my goal is to read at least 50 books and 50,000 pages in the next year-and-change.  Not counting stuff read for work or school, just 'fun' stuff on my own time.  I love to read, so this should be totally doable.

I love Turkey Day!  The day where we celebrate the majesty of the turkey by eating it.  Oh, er, those pilgrim guys too.  Mass genocide via smallpox and all that fun stuff.  But yes, my turkey day went farely well.  Some minor family guilt-tripping but hey, who doesn't get that on a major holiday?  All good.  Plus some really awesome pumpkin pie.
